Every year my sermons for the month of February focus on relationships - sort of built around the Valentines Day theme.  I’m glad that pastor Del started us off this month with his sermon dealing with Love Languages.

Tomorrow I’ll be talking about Communication Strategies For A Lasting Marriage.   I always try to be sensitive to the fact that not everyone in our congregation is married and so I attempt to share information useful to anyone.  We all need to improve our communication skills.

Remember this childhood saying,  “Sticks and stones may hurt my bones, but words can never hurt me!”   And then the line added by some comedian… “Whoever wrote that was never married!”.    Tomorrow I want to spend some time reminding us that with God’s power in our lives our words can build one another up instead of tearing each other down.

A couple of reminders for those of you who might want to connect with your church family during the week:

Sunday mornings - 7am -   POWER PRAYER.    Members gather online (ZOOM) for an hour of prayer for our church family.  If you wish to join please send me and email and I will send you the link to connect to that event.

Wednesday  - 7pm -   STUDY HOUR -  I need to find a catchy name for this gathering.  Some call it “Prayer Meeting”.   We do pray, but mostly we spend time studying together.   We are working on end-time events from the scriptures.    Same as above … send me an email if you wish to join and I’ll send you the link so you can sign-in.

Our COVID CARE BAGS have served over 300 people so far (it may even be closer to 350).  The demand for those has slowed down.  Thank you to all who have helped with that community event.

I look forward to seeing you tomorrow,

Pastor Greg
