I had a spam attack on my computer this week! It sent a message out to everyone on my email list. So sorry for that. I’m not sure how it happened, nor how to prevent it in the future. Sorry for any problems it may have caused your computer.

This Sabbath our sermon will be covering Revelation, chapter 6. The sermon title is “Covenant Curses”. It will be interesting to see how the details of this chapter correspond to several passages in the Old Testament – each dealing with our relationship with our Creator.

Rev 6 continues the message of the first five chapters … trust and obey God. It is the same message given in the Garden of Eden. When we choose to disobey, God withdraws His blessing to us … but that is a last resort.

At the end of this sermon it will be very clear to you what the four horsemen of the apocalypse stand for. It is not what most people picture them to be!

Finance Committee Meeting April 19, 6pm

Church Board April 19, 7pm

Sunday, April 24th – Resurrection Service here at the church. We will be celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ and all that it means to us today. Our service will be followed by a breakfast upstairs in the fellowship hall. We should be done with everything by 9am — leaving plenty of time for your other projects for the day. Come and join us. If you would like to bring some fruit or pancake toppings, drink that would be great. This would be an appropriate event to bring other Adventist or non-Adventist friends to.

Thank you to all who came and helped with the Emerald Christian Academy work bee last Sunday. The school will be open tomorrow, Friday, for anyone who would like to come and check the school out and see what it would take to enroll you child there next school year.

ECA’s Annual Benefit Auction
Yes! There is going to be a school auction this year! Emerald’s
Evening of Elegance, “Springtime in Paris” is set for Thursday,
April 21, 2011 at Emerald Valley Resort at 5:00 pm. You can reserve
your seat or table by calling the office at (541) 746-1708.
Donations: If you have auction items to donate or if you can sponsor
a basket or dessert call Carrie Meadowcroft at (541) 988-5442.

Yard Sale – this Sunday. Someone will be at the church before 6am to start setting up tables.

Sale begins at 9am. You may bring your items anytime in the morning.

We’d probably still be able to take sale items up until noon.

There are plenty of tasks … if you would like to help:

Early morning set up and pricing
running cash box
monitoring tables during sale
packing things up (4pm)
fixing lunch (haystacks?)
come and buy things

Everyone loves a yard sale! The Eugene SDA church is sponsoring a multi-family bake/yard sale to support a mission project in Laos.

LOCATION: Eugene SDA Church, 13th and Polk

WHEN: Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 9:00AM – 4:00PM

It’s time for our annual Yard Sale to benefit the mission project in Laos! We have been very successful in raising funds to support a growing church plant there.

If you would like to donate to the sale, any items are appreciated, although tires and old TVs do not sell well and we will have to pay for some items to be disposed of if they do not sell.

“Treasures” and baked goods may be brought to the church on Sunday morning after 5:00AM. Pickup can be arranged if you absolutely cannot bring the items in. If you have questions, contact Don or Della Rodman at 541-747-9543, or to arrange a pickup time if you can’t drop things off.

Can’t make a donation? JUST COME AND SHOP!
